Questions people ask

Do you upload my photos to a server?

No. All the work happens inside your browser on your device, and your photos and their names are never sent anywhere.

How much does it cost?

It's free. No sign-up, no watermark, and you can do up to 50 photos at once.

Will it ruin the quality?

We pick the highest quality that reaches your size, and only make the photo smaller in pixels when quality alone isn't enough. We never go under 800 pixels unless you ask.

Should I pick a quality or a size?

If the website you're uploading to asks for a size (for example under 500KB), pick the size. If you just want lighter photos to send or store, pick a quality: "Medium" works for most photos.

What exactly does 200KB mean?

We count a kilobyte as 1,000 bytes, so "under 200KB" means under 200,000 bytes. That way the file is under the limit on every website, including ones that count a kilobyte as 1,024.
