Remove the location from photos
Before you send or post a photo, remove where it was taken and the camera details. We'll also tell you if it had a location.
Your files never leave your device. Everything happens in your browser.
A ready size is the longest side of the photo. Small photos are never made bigger.
iPhone HEIC photos become JPG. JPG has no transparency: transparent backgrounds become white.
We removed the location and camera details from every photo.
Questions people ask
Do you upload my photos to a server?
No. All the work happens inside your browser on your device, and your photos and their names are never sent anywhere.
How much does it cost?
It's free. No sign-up, no watermark, and you can do up to 50 photos at once.
What is the location inside a photo?
If location is on for your phone's camera, the phone saves the coordinates of where you took the photo inside the file, with the phone model and the time. Anyone who gets the original file can see them.
Will the quality drop?
Not for JPG: we only remove the data and don't touch the picture itself. Other formats (like HEIC) become a high-quality JPG.
Can I keep the date taken?
Yes, turn on "Keep the date taken". We put back only the date, without the location or the phone details.
How do I stop my phone saving the location?
On iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Camera → Never. On Android: in the camera app's settings, turn off saving the location (the name differs by phone).
